We're based in St Jean d'Aulps, a small village about 10 minutes drive from Morzine centre and part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area.

St Jean village on a snowy day...St Jean d'Aulps is a very picturesque and authentic French village. There are all the traditional shops, such as the Patisserie and Boucherie, as well 2 restaurants, a lively English-run bar - Le National and the ruins of a 12th century abbey. Two of our chalets are a 20 minute walk from the village centre, while Chalet Pantoufle is located only 5 minutes walk from the St Jean ski station, an area known as La Grande Terche. In La Grande Terche, there are 3 more restaurants and 2 bars called L'Efanle and L'Avalanche which get fairly busy in the winter! On Wednesday evenings, the ski school put on a torchlit descent with free vin chaud. Morzine from the Nyon slopes...

Morzine is the main town in the area and offers a broad range of energetic activities such as ice skating, snow-mobiling, parapente and our favourite, husky dog driving! For those wanting to indulge in the traditional apres-ski activities of eating and drinking, there is a large selection of busy bars and restaurants to wander around late into the night, including Dixies and the ever-popular Buddha Bar.

About 5 minutes from Morzine is Les Gets, which is a smaller but again very picturesque Savoyard village. It has an outdoor ice rink, which is great fun for kids and adults alike! The Irish bar is very good and even serves beer brewed on the premises!
