The Portes du Soleil is the biggest ski area in the world, with an amazing 650km of perfect pistes!

The convenient location of our chalets means we can get you to the slopes of Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets in only 10-15 minutes. Whether you prefer the cruising blue and red runs of Les Gets or the steeper, dramatic reds and blacks of Avoriaz, we're certain you'll find something to keep you entertained! You can even ski across the border into Switzerland and for those braver people among you, "The Wall" offers a great challenge!

The Portes du Soleil offers an incredible ski area, with 288 ski runs, 207 ski lifts, 9 snow parks and over 240km of cross country skiing!  St Jean d'Aulps itself boasts 10 lifts and 34kms of green, blue and red runs in a tranquil natural environment. There is a good ski school, with a new children's club which opened last winter and the best ski run is the 20km Roc d'Enfer circuit red via La Cheverie, which has stunning views and is well worth a mornings skiing!

Ski Hire - for those of you who need to hire skis or boards, we recommend Ski Flash Location in St Jean d'Aulps as they offer very good value equipment - 6 days intermediate skis, poles and boots are only approximately 90 euros.

Accompanied skiing - we've skied here for seven years and know the area very well, so to make sure you get the most from your trip, we'll be happy to show you around.

Childcare - there is a creche close to our chalets, which will look after children for the whole day or just a few hours. There are also children's ski clubs, where they can learn to ski or take part in fun activities in the snow. As a guide, in 2008-9 the Avoriaz Children's Village charged around €204 for 6 days of activities, including lunch. Or you may prefer to have an in-house nanny provided by www.cheekymonkeys-morzine.com at reasonable prices.

Insurance - is absolutely essential on a skiing or boarding holiday and is a condition of booking. Please ensure it provides Wintersports cover.
