Situated beside a bubbling mountain stream at the top of the hamlet of Bas Thex is Chalet Le Pont, our 150 year old converted farm.

Accommodation This old farmhouse, which can accommodate up to 13 guests, is situated in a picturesque hamlet on the edge of St Jean d'Aulps. The chalet offers a 6-seater outdoor hot tub which has proved extremely popular with previous guests, as well as additional creature comforts such as leather sofas, a wood burner, satellite TV, DVD player and stereo in the living area.

There is also free WiFi, table football, an X-box, Nintendo Wii and a selection of board games in our small games room to keep you entertained. Dinner is served in the dining area adjacent to the living room.

Service  For the 2011-12 season, Chalet le Pont will be run by Jon & Liz with the help of a chalet assistant who will ensure that you are very well looked after, prepare your meals and transport you to the slopes. We will have one night off per week when we ask you to dine at a local restaurant. Oscar the chalet dog will also be on hand to help you enjoy your stay!

Chalet lay-out On the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom and a shower room, the living and dining room and a games room with a balcony overlooking the stream.

On the first floor, there are two twin bedrooms which share a shower room and a double bedroom with en-suite shower.  There is also a second balcony, which is a great place to relax in the late afternoon sunshine... On the second floor is a spacious family or group bedroom with three single beds and a bunk, along with a private bathroom.

There is also a large boot room in the basement to store skis, boards and boots and a laundry area to dry out any wet clothes.

Arrival On your arrival, we will show you to your rooms before welcoming you with a complimentary drink and a chat about the forthcoming weeks events. We will then take you to the ski shop to arrange the rental of your equipment, before settling down to your first 3-course evening meal!

Getting around In-resort transport is included*, so we will take your group to your choice of slopes each morning and pick you up in the afternoon – either St Jean d’Aulps, Morzine, Les Gets or Avoriaz. If you’re up for a night out, we can drop you into any of the villages and pick you up up to 10pm or arrange a taxi for later nights, but if you choose St Jean d’Aulps, you may prefer the 20 minute walk into the village – torches are provided!! Finally, should you wish to indulge in some après ski when you finish on the slopes, we will be happy to arrange a later pick up time before whisking you home for dinner!

A few little extras! We have a few other little extras to make your stay more enjoyable – such as free use of walkie talkies and equipment rental at specially negotiated prices!

Other Info Changeover day is Sunday, which allows you to make the most of the slopes on Saturday, the quietest weekend day and means a quicker, less congested transfer to the resort. The morning changeover also means you get cheaper return flights! Please note: in all areas of the chalets, except the balconies, smoking is not permitted.
